Christmas Parade in Downtown Apex

We bundled up Saturday night and headed to downtown Apex with our lovely neighbors. We were amazed by the turn out for such a small town's parade! Jack was in heaven when all the old-fashioned fire trucks drove slowly by! He was so excited, I thought he was going to burst into a bunch of confetti!

Jack has changed a lot in the past two weeks. He still doesn't talk (much), but he recognizes and is starting to say a lot of his numbers and letters! One could even say he's obsessed with them! (I guess it's better than being obsessed with potato chips) Perhaps we have a little mathematician on our hands.

Hiking at Jordan Lake

We enjoyed a nice hike along Jordan Lake on Saturday. It was a beautiful day. We are excited that Jack is more and more able to do these hikes. He may be slow, but he seemed to hang in there for a long trek!

Visit from Grandpa F

We've had fun exploring the little towns around Apex and walked (while Jack ran) about 10 miles today at the State zoo. Jack loves having grandpa F here!!!

Lands End

We had a lovely time in Western North Carolina- first in Salem, NC, a mid-1700s Moravian village and then at the cabin in Murphy, where Heather, Allison, and Harper drove up from ATL for a reunion! Fall has arrived and the colors were close to peak. It was a sublime time.
