Jack and I made our premier flight to Texas to visit Sheila, Dan, Mackenzie and Chester while Aaron went to London for work. Jack was a trooper to and from Texas despite long delays. We had a marvelous visit and can't wait for the next one. I am happy to report that Sheila and Dan have embraced Texas life down to the cowhide-covered chairs in the dining room and yes, LIVE cattle in the backyard beyond their fence. We relaxed around their beautiful home and took in the glorious weather poolside. We also visited some neighboring towns and "the square" in Southlake, which currently has an exhibit of local artists' renderings of the mighty longhorn. On the baby-development front, Jack is on the brink of crawling. He also now has two teeth! We have concluded that Jack must have springs for leg bones because he actually gets air in his doorway jumper. We've added another nickname to his repertoire: "Jumpin ' Jack Flash." We love you Sheila, Dan, and Mackenzie! You sure know how to treat this little cowboy!

Jack is 7 months old
I now understand what people mean when they say, "it goes so fast." It seems like it was just yesterday when I held Jack in my arms for the first time, yet I also can't remember back to when I was pregnant and wondering what it would feel like to hold him. He is saying "momma" now and can perch on all fours and bounce up and down. He will be crawling in no time. Better start babyproofing the house! Jack was baptised this past weekend. It was an important day for our family. Jack is our gift from God. Our blessings are too many to count. We will keep you "posted." Pun intended!
