Greetings from Texas! We have had a wonderful, restful time at Dan and Sheila's ranch. We enjoyed day trips to Fort Worth, Grapevine, and the Square at Southlake.
While the true meaning and magic of Christmas is not yet something Jack understands, he still loved seeing family and showing off his crawling skills and playing with the AWESOME gifts everyone has given him (THANK YOU!)
We miss Mike and Krissy and the entire Fleischauer family. Congratulations on your engagement Alison and Josh!
It has been an incredible year and we are excited to find out what 2008 has to bring!
Peace and Love,
The Fleischauers

The Stockings Were Hung by the Chimney with Care
It is baby's first Christmas in just a few days. Very exciting! We are having fun chasing Jack all around the house. He especially loves trying to eat Max's food (yikes!) and getting "trapped" under the dining room table. He pulls himself up onto every piece of furniture now. His favorite pastime is pulling each of his stuffed animals down off of his bench in the playroom upstairs one after the other. Our little Jack is growing up! Five days and counting til Texas...

Jack is Crawling
Well, my wish came true: Jack is crawling!!! Everyone warned me "be careful what you wish for." Now I understand what they're talking about...he loves cords, stairs, the garbage can (don't ask!). He is extremely curious and is having a blast. He especially loves looking out to the backyard to visit with Max. Oh yeah, and in other news: Jack is saying "dada" all day long. Lovely!

Texas Hold 'Em
Jack and I made our premier flight to Texas to visit Sheila, Dan, Mackenzie and Chester while Aaron went to London for work. Jack was a trooper to and from Texas despite long delays. We had a marvelous visit and can't wait for the next one. I am happy to report that Sheila and Dan have embraced Texas life down to the cowhide-covered chairs in the dining room and yes, LIVE cattle in the backyard beyond their fence. We relaxed around their beautiful home and took in the glorious weather poolside. We also visited some neighboring towns and "the square" in Southlake, which currently has an exhibit of local artists' renderings of the mighty longhorn. On the baby-development front, Jack is on the brink of crawling. He also now has two teeth! We have concluded that Jack must have springs for leg bones because he actually gets air in his doorway jumper. We've added another nickname to his repertoire: "Jumpin ' Jack Flash." We love you Sheila, Dan, and Mackenzie! You sure know how to treat this little cowboy!

Jack is 7 months old
I now understand what people mean when they say, "it goes so fast." It seems like it was just yesterday when I held Jack in my arms for the first time, yet I also can't remember back to when I was pregnant and wondering what it would feel like to hold him. He is saying "momma" now and can perch on all fours and bounce up and down. He will be crawling in no time. Better start babyproofing the house! Jack was baptised this past weekend. It was an important day for our family. Jack is our gift from God. Our blessings are too many to count. We will keep you "posted." Pun intended!
